Unlocking Change: Supporting reform in key Albanian institutions
UK - Foreign, Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO)
The new programme will support reform in Albania on justice, rule of law and anti-corruption to boost accountability and enable better delivery of services to citizens. This will include: i) reform of the Albanian State Police aiming to modernise the institution, improve its leadership and performance, and make it more accountable and transparent; ii) improving revenue collection by the Albanian authorities and contributing to transparency of public finance management; iii) increasing the capacity of judges and prosecutors to become more effective in handling court cases, including through study visits, exchanges and training at the School of Magistrates.
Tackling Serious and Organised Crime in Ghana (SOCG)

This programme will seek to reduce the negative impact that SOC has on Ghana’s development, by improving governance and raising awareness, commitment and capacity to address it within government, civil society and business. In doing so, it will address direct threats to the UK, and support wider UK security objectives.
NGP - National Governance Programme

The National Governance Programme (NGP) supports Pakistan’s institutional reform agenda by strengthening whole-of-government coordination across federal and provincial levels. It combines technical assistance with politically informed approaches to improve decision-making, implementation, and accountability on priority reforms. The programme has expanded to include a Politics of Delivery (PoD) Facility, which provides rapid, demand-led technical and analytical support, delivery roadmaps, and politically smart approaches (including coalitions for change) to unlock reform challenges. Together, these components strengthen government capability to plan ahead, manage risks, and deliver sustained institutional change.
UK-Jamaica Violence Prevention Partnership

Reducing Insecurity and Violent Extremism in the Northern Territories (Re-INVENT)

Partnerships for Development

Partnerships for Development (formerly known as GREAT for Partnership) will multiply the UK’s development impact by boosting partnerships between UK’s institutions and their counterparts in the developing world. It will leverage the skills and expertise from a range of UK institutions and supply them initially to DFID partner countries, based on tailored demand. It will initially prioritise the Extractives, Financial Accountability and Anti-Corruption sectors.
Conflict Resolution Department (CRD) Conflict Resolution Programme

The programme primarily funds key mediation organisations delivering against the UK’s negotiation, mediation and peace process ambitions, specifically on bringing about negotiated political settlements that govern and end violence and refocusing peace processes as a central tool for conflict resolution, working with a range of national and international partners.

Building sustainable anti-corruption action in Tanzania (BSAAT)

To reduce the role of corruption as a barrier to poverty reduction in Tanzania by improving the capacity and coordination of the criminal justice system in corruption cases, improving integrity and governance in the private sector, and influencing social change through research and media.
Strengthening Africa's Science Granting Councils Phase II

The programme will deepen ongoing work with the African Science granting Councils in the same thematic areas as those covered by the first phase of SGCI research management; monitoring learning and evaluation; knowledge transfer to the private sector; and enhanced networks and partnerships amongst councils and with other science system actors. It will extend focus into two new cross cutting dimensions; research excellence and gender equality and inclusivity. It will strengthen national Science Technology and Innovation systems and contribute to socio economic development in sub Saharan Africa by enhancing more effective and inclusive management of research and innovation by Councils in sub Saharan Africa.
Security and Stabilisation Programme

This programme will increase UK effectiveness in preventing or reducing conflict through the application of stabilisation and security sector reform (SSR) best practice. This includes developing international expertise on state reconstruction in conflict-affected countries. We will develop and advocate for the UK’s governance and human rights-centred approach on stabilisation, SSR, disarmament, demobilisation and reintegration (DDR), sharing our outputs with the international community for the benefit of those living in conflict-affected countries. We will update the UK Guide to Stabilisation, which provides thought leadership and practical advice for the international community. Our priority countries benefiting from this work will be ODA recipients. The Programme will support our Integrated Review objectives of reducing the frequency and intensity of conflict and instability and minimising opportunities for state and non-state actors to undermine international security.
Bangladesh-Collaborative, Accountable and Peaceful Politics (B-CAPP) Programme

To protect civic space, foster political collaboration, reduce corruption, and mitigate conflict and violence in Bangladesh, the Bangladesh- Collaborative, Accountable and Peaceful Politics programme will mobilise civil society and media coalitions, provide citizens groups with tools to monitor public services, improve decision making within political parties and promote women and youth leadership.
Indo-Pacific Regional Governance Programme

The Indo-Pacific Governance Programme will support the foundations on which FCDO can deliver the UK objectives in the Indo-Pacific by establishing partnerships for ‘progressive governance’ that enable broader UK priorities in the region. Support will be based on a combination of a) strategic programming b) deep context analysis and learning, and c) increased capacity to deliver advice and support to governance actors in the region. The programme will build on a base of successful projects and will test a long-term approach for strategic engagement on governance in the region.
Overseas Territories Border Security Programme

Through the Border Security Programme, OTs are supported to detect and respond to threats to their borders (physical, invisible and borderless) through the implementation of modern, robust customs and immigration systems, maritime security and cyber security, and have strong internal security processes, capacity and capability to counter cross-border threats to the OTs and the UK. These focal areas are outlined in Pillars 2 and 3 of the Integrated Review Refresh 2023. Additionally, the Programme contributes towards the National Strategy for Maritime Security 2022 under strategic objective ‘Protecting our homeland – work to ensure the security of our borders, ports and maritime infrastructure with Devolved Administrations, Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies’.
Strategic Partnership Framework Programme (SPF-P)
