National Governance Programme
Description
The National Governance Programme aims to support Pakistan’s national level institutional reforms agenda through this programme. The programme will take a whole-of-government approach to addressing coordination deficits between levels of government in Pakistan. This means providing technical assistance to the Prime Minister’s Office to focus political leadership on prioritised policy areas; ensuring decisions are evidence-based and are supported by effective monitoring frameworks and feedback loops, supporting collective problem through support to coordination bodies like the Council of Common Interest, and working on policy issues such as climate change or social protection where there is appetite for coordination and reform.
