Humanitarian Emergency Response Operations and Stabilisation Programme (HEROS)

The programme will provide humanitarian emergency response operations management and stabilisation support. This programme will enable UK to respond rapidly, at scale, to global humanitarian disasters as well as supporting DFID teams working on protracted crises, chronic emergencies and humanitarian reform. This contract will also provide a flexible model to support the Government’s conflict, stabilisation and security work in fragile and conflict-affected states – both during steady state periods and in response to crises.
UK Caribbean Infrastructure Fund

As announced by the UK government in September 2015, the UK Caribbean Infrastructure Fund will create critical economic infrastructure including: bridges; renewable energy; ports; water; and sea defences that will increase productivity and resilience to natural disasters and climate change. This fund aims to improve economic development in 8 ODA eligible and 1 ODA eligible Overseas Territory by helping to boost growth and creating jobs across the region.

Sustainable Blue Economies Programme

This Blue Planet Fund programme aims to enhance the resilience of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) & their economies to the impacts of climate change, as well as exploring opportunities for SIDS to generate revenue from carbon offset schemes through protection of their critical marine habitats.
UK Expertise for Green Cities and Infrastructure Programme (GCI)

To improve the impact and effectiveness of FCDO programming in climate resilient urban development infrastructure planning and delivery; to accelerate inclusive and sustainable economic growth by connecting people to labour markets and infrastructure services; to address the impacts of climate change through better urban planning and delivery of resilient infrastructure projects.
Global Risk Financing Programme [GRiF]

To save lives and reduce the impacts of shocks, like droughts, hurricanes and floods through enabling earlier and more effective response and faster recovery. It provides finance to support governments and humanitarian agencies to use risk financing instruments, like insurance and contingent credit, to access more rapid finance in emergencies, and to strengthen preparedness of local systems for disaster response and recovery. It will focus on disasters, but will develop over time to cover a wider range of risks, including famine.
Caribbean Economic Development Programme

To support governments in the Caribbean region to strengthen their public financial management systems including tax and customs administration, financial sector surveillance, statistics, government procurement and competitiveness in order to promote private sector development that will build sustainable, competitive and inclusive economies in the region.

To support the achievement of the Global Goals through funding UK-based civil society organisations to deliver projects that assist in ending extreme poverty and building a better world by 2030. The programme will also provide opportunities for the UK public to engage in international development issues and have a say in how a portion of the aid budget is spent.
Small Island Developing States Capacity and Resilience Programme (SIDAR)

The programme aims to respond to pressures on SIDS governments arising from climate change and the unique disadvantages created by small population sizes, remoteness, and vulnerability to economic shocks and natural disasters. It will focus especially on sustainable and inclusive capacity, UK Partnership for economic development, access to affordable finance and impacting the policy environment.
