Description
he Modern Slavery Victim Care Contract (MSVCC) is the tailored UK government response to its international obligations laid out in the European Convention Against Trafficking (ECAT). It provides accommodation and tailored support, advocacy and sign posting to adult victims of human trafficking and modern slavery who have entered the National Referral Mechanism and consent to support. The aim is to assist in the physical, psychological and social recovery of modern slavery victims. The support provided is tailored to the needs of the potential victim through needs based assessments at the point of entry and through ongoing engagement with a support worker this can include but is not limited to: - Safe house accommodation - Subsistence payments -A dedicated support worker - Advocacy -Private Counselling -Translation and Interpretation -Support to return to their home country -Assistance with getting to appointments including; transport and childcare -Support to access: Medical treatment, legal aid, addiction support services, education, mental health services, housing and other alternative services
