Afghanistan Support to the Peace Process
Description
This programme aims to support the Afghan government’s peace objectives. Programme activities under the first component will support peace initiatives through a contribution over the next two years to the Afghan High Peace Council (HPC) through the UNDP administered Support to Peace and Social Cohesion in Afghanistan (SPSCA) programme. The second component will focus on peace-building activities at community level, including building the capacity of women, tribal elders, religious leaders and youth groups in 13 provinces.
