Foundations for Stability Programme (FSP)
Description
The Foundations for Stability Programme (FSP) is a three-year, UK-funded conflict prevention and peacebuilding programme focused on Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Kosovo, with engagement of Serbia as a key regional actor. The programme seeks to strengthen long-term stability in the Western Balkans by addressing two interlinked drivers of conflict and fragility: 1) the enduring impacts of past conflicts and 2) the rise of ethnonationalism, political fragmentation and polarising rhetoric. This is a strategically managed portfolio of a small number of larger interventions, not a traditional grants programme. Through a strategic portfolio of fewer, larger intervention packages with cumulative impact towards conflict prevention, it will support transitional justice, reconciliation, inclusive memorialisation, survivor-centred support for conflict-related sexual violence survivors, civic engagement, cross-community cooperation and issue-based citizen-government dialogue.
