MEIDECC - Support for Tonga’s COP29 Participation
Description
The attendance of the Department of Climate Change delegations and officials to COP29 is vital in order to achieve targets, biodiversity actions and goals. This will ensure that Tonga has the key delegates and breadth of expertise needed to implement and deliver the most effective COP 29 outcomes for the country. The United Kingdom also funded Tonga's attendance for COP28. This will showcase the good relationship between the our governments in combatting climate change impacts in Tonga. This will also attract more donors and development partners to help fund the implementation of such projects in Tonga.
