Congo Basin Forest Action Programme (CBFA)
Description
Through the Congo Basin Forest Action Programme, the UK will support the region’s vision for economic development by empowering Central African nations to achieve green development with forests as an entry point. Our work will reduce deforestation, promote restoration, maintain high conservation value forests and peatlands, and promote a step-change to a low-carbon future while ensuring the rights and aspirations of indigenous peoples and local communities are fully incorporated into decision-making.
