ARM: Governance and Institutions Umbrella Trust Fund contribution

Description

World Bank Trust Fund contributions (projects agreed individually within the agreement) for activities in Armenia. The Contribution will be used to finance the activities set forth in the “Governance and Institutions Umbrella Program Anchor Multi-Donor Trust Fund Description” listed below, and will be administered by the Bank on behalf of the Donor. The objective of the Trust Fund is to support Bank client countries to improve public sector performance and institutional reform, increase application of digital and technology solutions in the public sector, and enhance transparency and accountability. The activities to be financed by the Trust Fund are: 1. Organization and People - Activities to strengthen the capacity of client countries to build accountable government entities staffed with capable employees and enable government institutions to respond to challenges and demands following the COVID-19 pandemic; 2. Open Government, Anticorruption, and Technology - Activities to enhance the capacity of client countries to achieve broader aims of openness and transparency and reduce corruption with the use of technology; 3. Institutions of Accountability - Activities to build the capacity of client countries to strengthen institutions outside the executive branch of government that focus on accountability and better governance outcomes; 4. Program management and administration activities for the Trust Fund, including but not limited to, supporting any program governance arrangements and Trust Fund related meetings; planning and executing work plans and budgets; managing communications and conducting outreach; disseminating lessons learned; reporting on progress; and monitoring and evaluating the program. 5. Carrying out of identification and appraisal of, and provision of implementation support to, Recipient-executed activities.
