Humanitarian Preparedness and Resilience in Madagascar
Description
Madagascar is extremely vulnerable to climate-related shocks and populations have limited resilience or coping capacity after years of damaging climate events, such as successive years of droughts and frequent tropical storms and cyclones. Implemented by the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and Malagasy Red Cross this project will deliver multi-sector humanitarian preparedness and resilience strengthening activities across six districts in Madagascar, as well as a facility to respond to sudden onset emergencies such as tropical cyclones when they occur.
