Lives and Livelihoods Fund Programme
Description
DFID will contribute £20m to the Lives and Livelihoods Fund, an innovative financing facility which aims to lift millions of people out of poverty by leveraging £4 of additional Islamic Development Bank lending for every £1 of donor contributions. Launched in 2016 the LLF targets its resources at the Islamic Development Bank’s least developed member states across Africa, Middle East and Asia. The LLF aims to lift millions of people out of poverty by delivering basic healthcare services, enhancing agricultural productivity and building critical infrastructure.
