Biodiverse Landscapes Fund

Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs

The Biodiverse Landscapes Fund (BLF) supports developing countries to protect and restore nature, tackle climate change and reduce poverty. The programme invests over the long term in some of the world's most ecologically important landscapes, supporting locally-led approaches that benefit both people and environment.  The BLF currently operates in three landscapes: Andes Amazon (spanning Peru and Ecuador), Mesoamerica (spanning Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras), and Madagascar. Each landscape contains globally important biodiversity and makes vital contributions to regional and global food, water and weather systems.
