This includes bringing in necessary international expertise to provide skills and experience not available on island and maintaining access to the island. The programme also supports work to build St Helena’s tourism offer, attracting investment and realising the benefits of the UK funded airport, within a safe and secure environment.

Middle East and North Africa Regional Humanitarian Response.

This project will provide support to the MENA region to respond to crises in order to: Save lives and prevent suffering via humanitarian support, including to international partners. Facilitate the enabling environment of the humanitarian response in country, through close engagement with national authorities and humanitarian partners, and advocacy towards effective coordination. Maximise impact, promote UK leadership and strengthen bilateral relations with partner Governments.

Ukraine Governance Reform Programme

UK - Foreign, Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO)

To help Ukraine win the war, make progress on conditions for membership to the EU and NATO, and attract the foreign investment needed for its reconstruction, this programme will support the Government of Ukraine create independent, effective, and accountable institutions. Working in close partnership with close-minded allies such as the US, the programme will advance reform in the areas of anti-corruption, digitalisation, and rule of law, while maintaining flexibility to respond to emerging reform needs. In doing so, it will build citizens’ trust in their government, lay the foundations for long-term resilience and recovery, and help Ukraine on its Euro-Atlantic trajectory.
