Global Green Growth Institute CTF
Project disclaimer
Description
Programme Purpose: This business case is seeking approval for up to £10m of funding towards the Readiness Facility (RF) fund. A £4m (approx. $5.3m1) contribution over 4 years would be committed to from the outset (FY25/26) in line with Spending Review period allocation windows, with a review to be undertaken towards the end of 4 years to assess the need for a potential additional contribution of up to £6m. The RF is one of two pillars of the Global Green Growth Institute’s (GGGI) new Carbon Transaction Facility (CTF). The CTF, led by GGGI, will scale up international carbon trading under Article 6 (A6) of the Paris Agreement, while upholding environmental integrity. The RF is a multi-donor fund which will provide technical assistance to support emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs) in accessing carbon market finance.
