Sudan – Humanitarian Emergency and Longer-term Planning (S-HELP)
Description
Humanitarian Emergency and Longer-term Planning (S-HELP) will contribute to reducing excess mortality and morbidity resulting from conflict, climate related hazards, disease outbreaks and economic shocks by the following approaches: framing the programme, maintaining and reinforcing the fundamental principles underpinning humanitarian action: an independent, needs based, approach that does not take the side of any party to the conflict and has the affected people at the centre of programme and policy priorities; continuing to support partners within the UN-led and associated response such as the Sudan Humanitarian Fund and the International Committee of the Red Cross – though this will be further refined through the Business Case design process;
