Illicit Financial Gold Flows in Latin America and the Caribbean (ICE ODA Project)
Description
The outcome of this work will be public facing analysis on Illicit gold flows for specific priority countries Guyana and Suriname that sets out the transnational nature of the challenge, the flows across borders and their interaction and utilisation of complex supply chains. This should examine the dynamics with neighbouring countries e.g. Primarily Brazil, Venezuela and the Caribbean but could consider Colombia and Peru where relevant. The analysis will examine the connections of illicit gold flows to Serious Organised Crime groups and state threats. It should draw on existing HMG research, open-source documents and conduct primary research to support findings, conclusions and (non-public) recommendations for HMG.
