Project disclaimer
Description
The Compass programme is conducted by a consortium led by IMC Worldwide and Itad. It is assisting DFID, BEIS and Defra to support the improved generation, dissemination and uptake of results data, evidence and knowledge from across the UK International Climate Finance (ICF).
Objectives
The overall strategic objectives of UK ICF are defined as follows: •Change facts on the ground, delivering results that demonstrate that low carbon, climate resilient development is feasible and desirable. •Improve the international climate architecture and finance system to increase the scale, efficiency and value for money of climate spend. •Test out new approaches to delivering climate finance that have the potential to achieve bigger and better results in the future
Target Groups
The immediate recipient of the required services will be the ICF HMG management team comprising policy officials from DFID, BEIS and Defra who are responsible for delivering and managing the ICF programme portfolio. Deliverables will be used by the team to inform decision-making and the development of appropriate policies and programmes. International partners and donors, developing country governments and civil society organisations will also be primary beneficiaries of the results, knowledge, lessons learned, and best practice generated by this programme. Again, it is envisaged that the deliverables from this programme and their dissemination will help inform decision-making and the development of appropriate policies and programmes.
