Green Africa Power (GAP): Renewable Energy for Africa

Description

To increase private sector investment in renewable energy, by providing early stage finance to private sector renewable energy generation projects in Africa. This will enable up to 10 renewable power plants to be financed, generating enough energy for 9 million consumers. This contributes towards our commitments to help combat climate change and will help avoid about 2.3m tonnes of carbon emissions.
