The Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund Ltd
Project disclaimer
Description
The Emerging Africa Infrastructure Fund Ltd. (EAIF) provides long-term debt or mezzanine finance on commercial terms to finance the construction and development of private sector infrastructure projects. Since the fund's formation in 2001 the projects we fund have helped over 140 million people. Owing to the nature of our investments, much of the information relating to individual borrowers (for example loan repayments) are confidential and so the detailed information contained in this disclosure is limited to outgoing commitments for projects which were live as at the disclosure date of 31 December 2020. Also, note that the activity type for incoming resources, below, includes both the drawdown of borrowing from EAIF's commercial lenders and the repayment of those debt facilities as well as interest and fee income. The activity type for loan repayments relates solely to the repayments EAIF has received from the projects to which it lends funds. Our financial statements are available on our website.
