Description

The main objective of the Project is to further strengthen the capacities of the Armenian Border Guard Troops (BGT) to tackle security and migration management challenges in line with international obligations, standards, and border management best practices. The Project will build on the results achieved in the first phase of the project funded by CSSF as well as during the interventions implemented in recent years, specifically in the alignment of the BGT training and educational system and standards with European and international best practises. The project will further strengthen the capacity of the BGT through further development of the training system for the BGT and enhancing secondary inspection. Such intervention is particularly relevant in the current context with increased pressure on the BGT to increase number of personnel at the air and land border crossing points.
