Description
The Community Action and Support for Education (CASE) is a three-year (3) UK Aid Match funded project that started on the 1st of May, 2018. It is being implemented by Hope for Children and partners; Regional Advisory Network Information Systems (RAINS) and Northern Network for Education Development (NNED) in the North East region of Ghana. The overall aim of the project is to improve access to education and quality of teaching practice in schools for 1,400 children in the West Mamprusi Municipality of the North East region of Ghana through the following: 1) Enabling 200 out of school children to enroll in school 2) Creating awareness on and changing attitudes towards children’s rights and education 3) Reducing financial barriers to education 4) Training teachers in child-centered teaching methodologies 5) Providing platforms for children to learn and advocate for their rights. The direct targets and beneficiaries of the project are 1400 children in school, 200 out-of-school children, 600 mothers, 36 teachers and 4 Ghana Education Service officials.
