Improving Mexico's ability to move to a low carbon economy through applying best practices
Description
To support Mexican states' efforts to reduce their carbon footprint using UK best practice. The project will support state governments in their bid to lead by example by developing energy efficiency and other carbon reduction measures across their own estate of buildings, vehicle fleets and operational activities. The programme will support the delivery of credible and robust Carbon Management Plans (CMPs). This follows the proven methodology from the highly impactful and well received Low Carbon States pilot project with the State Governments of Jalisco and Tabasco (funded by the FCO's Prosperity Fund and delivered by the Carbon Trust in 2014/15). It opens the market in each state under the project to UK and other businesses wishing to enter the market.
