IATI Identifier: GB-GOV-3-PAF-GMB-160001

Description

This project will support identified schools in The Gambia to have in place a child protection policy and mechanisms to enhance protection and reporting of abuse, violence and exploitation of children. The project is also in line with UK objectives to engage in partnership opportunities with government, civil society organisation's and relevant stakeholders to ensure that children's rights are observed and respected. The investment by HMG into schools will strengthen bilateral ties. Adoption of this pilot project within the various regions and the identified schools will contribute towards showcasing the UK as an effective partner in child protection and child rights issues.
