Description
Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) /Official Development Assistance (ODA) Research funding is to be paid out of monies provided by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) under the Barnett Formula. GCRF funding has been allocated to Higher Education Institutions in Wales for the period April 2018 to March 2019. GCRF funding invested in Wales will be administered by the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW).
Objectives
The funding provided under GCRF is to be used by any GCRF recipient solely in research which supports the economic development and wellbeing of developing countries listed on the OECD DAC lists of eligible countries.
