Description
The UK Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) funds outstanding global health research through the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). The NIHR provided support to the Global Alliance for TB Drug Development to carry out activities relating to the development of new drugs to treat tuberculosis.
Objectives
1) Develop and sustain a robust and dynamic research and development (R&D) pipeline for tuberculosis (TB); 2) Strengthen existing research capacity and community engagement; 3) Raise awareness and commitment to TB R&D.
