UN Peacekeeping Assessed Contributions
Description
As a UN Member State, under Article 17 of the UN Charter, the UK, as with all Member States, has a legal obligation to pay its share of the costs of the organisation, which includes UN Peacekeeping Operations (PKOs). As a Permanent Member (P5), the UK pays a higher share towards the budgets of UN PKOs compared to the Regular budget.
