Overseas Territories Justice Programme
Description
The Law Enforcement component seeks to build capability within the OTs, agree standards informed by international policing best practice and provide technical expertise. The Prisons and wider justice systems supports the OTs through the development of bespoke training packages, building capacity of parole boards, development of policy on prisoner rehabilitation, urgent infrastructure projects, the development of a pan OT detention standards framework, policy and legislation development support for the OTs. The Safeguarding component provides capacity-building support to safeguarding systems that protect the most vulnerable in society and assistance in reviewing and designing regulations that enhance human rights.
