Increasing Global Aid Transparency
Description
This programme will support improvements in global and UK aid transparency and data publication, including data quality and impact, with the aim of increasing the effectiveness of global aid as developing countries, donors, civil society and academics will be better able to explore, scrutinise, use and apply quality aid data. This delivers FCDO's ambition to enhance the global use of aid data to strengthen effectiveness and accountability. Key interventions of this programme include: 1) providing membership fees to support the International Aid Transparency Initiative standard (IATI)’s work on aid data quality and use, 2) funding a follow-up to the 2020 UK Aid Transparency review assessing the transparency of UK government departments spending aid, and 3) funding research on the impact and uptake of IATI data.
