Description

The project is part of PIP1014 - INGO Urban WASH Consortium in Freetown and will be implemented in ten city sections. Construction of Water supply gravity flow system,boreholes and solar water purification systems; Sanitation component includes three public latrines, four school latrines and 80m of drainage; Hygiene promotion component comprises of public health campaign, promotion of hygiene in the community and schools; Community WASH services management capacity will be built; Public health emergencies preparedness activities will be implemented; Joint Advocacy around WASH will be conducted for improved policy and maximized impact. In addition,a compendium of good practices and lessons learnt on Freetown WASH Consortium (FWC) WASH activities will be done to create a knowledge box to support learning useful for future WASH interventions
