Description

mMitra is a mobile phone voice messaging and animation service to improve MCH information access in rural India. One phone will be entrusted with Arogya Sakhis (health friends) who will ensure access to the animations for all women and the messages for the women without phones. They will also provide home-based after work-hours care and investigations for a nominal fee and serve as the maternal and child health advocates of the village, thus empowering themselves and reducing maternal and child mortality;
