Water Sanitation and Hygiene Recovery Support to vulnerable communities in Nuwakot and Rasuwa
Project disclaimer
Description
This project will target vulnerable communities in 8 remote or vulnerable VDCs of Nuwakot and Rasuwa which have significantly damaged water supply schemes, relatively high rates of water-borne diseases, high rates of malnutrition, and low food security scores. This project is an extension and continuation of the previous activities by ACF and local NGOs DECON and LACCOs in these districts, in order to fulfil the remaining needs of beneficiaries and to reinforce their access to adequate clean and safe water. 45 water supply schemes will be rehabilitated, tested and shock chlorinated, and an additional 5 health facilities will be connected to a sustainable water source. Communities will be supported to improve hygiene and water safety practices, and additional information on water supply systems will be provided to local authorities
