Improving global evidence on how to build stability in the most fragile and conflict-affected countries
Description
To fund research and analysis which will meet immediate needs across DFID, other government departments and international organisations around how development programming and policy can have the greatest impact on stability and security overseas. In particular the programme will improve the impact of our development programmes through new evidence and knowledge on: - Security, justice and violence, including the links between development, violent extremism and terrorism; - Development, politics and violence, including the role of peace processes and political elites in resolving conflict; - The use of aid programmes to build stability in conflict-affected countries, including evidence on how we should prioritise development actions and choices in failing and failed states.
