Zimbabwe Accountability and Artisanal Mining Programme (ZAAMP)
Description
To formalise and legalise the production and trade of artisanal gold miners in Zimbabwe. This will improve both the livelihoods of the artisanal miners themselves, benefit their communities and increase tax revenue for the government. This will be achieved by assessing the prevailing situation and identifying opportunities for interventions to be undertaken to formalise the activities of the 500,000 artisanal miners in Zimbabwe.
