Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria
Description
To reduce transmission and mortality for HIV, TB and Malaria through treatments, diagnostic and preventive technologies and related services. £1 billion of UK support will save an estimated 580,000 lives. It will help achieve MDG 6: ‘halt and begin to reverse the spread of HIV/AIDS, malaria and other major diseases’; MDG 4: reduce child mortality; and MDG 5: improve maternal health - through the prevention of 8.4 million new infections.
