Financial support for a crisis analysis adviser to review new technology and techniques for anticipating humanitarian crises, and co-ordinate and facilitate Rapid Response Facility partner discussions on emerging crises.
Description
To improve the UK Government's humanitarian responses by providing funding for a crisis analysis adviser to facilitate the improved effectiveness of the Rapid Response Facility. This will benefit those affected by humanitarian disasters by ensuring that the UK can respond rapidly and according to needs in humanitarian crises and ensuring UK responses provide good value for money. This adviser will establish a mechanism for RRF Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) partners to pool information on emerging crises, facilitate a discussion and based on this broker a decision whether to recommend activation of the RRF facility.
