Security Sector Accountability Programme
Description
To increase the accountability and capability of the Nigerian security forces in tackling internal instability by helping to build human rights into policy and training, as well as by strengthening oversight from statutory and civil society bodies. This will reduce the negative impacts of conflict on the most vulnerable among the Nigeria population, and contribute to longer-term stability in the country, thus helping create an environment that promotes achievement of the MDGs.
