Health: Toward Ending Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting in Africa and Beyond
Description
This programme combines targeted action with communities in 17 countries with support for legislative and policy change and effective implementation of laws and policies. It includes a robust international research component to build the global evidence base on the most effective strategies to end FGM/C. It will work with others to support a movement within countries and globally to raise awareness and understanding of FGM/C and build support for efforts to end the practice. This programme aims to work towards ending the practice in one generation.
