Congo Basin Forest Fund (CBFF) Start Up Programme
Description
Start-up funding for the interim establishment and operation of the Congo Basin Forest Fund (CBFF) and the delivery of a small regional project portfolio responding to immediate national and regional demands and pressures faced by the forests of the Congo Basin. It is intended that this will signal to national, regional and international stakeholders that the CBFF will be focusing on initiatives which directly or indirectly conserve forests in the Congo Basin region and provide local communities with sustainable livelihoods, while maintaining forest–related environmental benefits to the global community.
