Project disclaimer
Description
The TEDI Programme (Tributação Eficiente para Desenvolvimento Inclusivo in Portuguese which translates to 'Taxing Efficiently for Development and Inclusion’ in English) is a taxation technical assistance programme in Mozambique. It is partly funded by the UK’s Department of International Development (DFID) with GBP 6 million; and the Swedish International development Agency (SIDA) with GBP 6 million. TEDI will run for five years from 2020 to 2025. This GBP £12 million tax reform programme aims to support Mozambique’s government in raising additional revenue, efficiently and equitably. To support the achievement of government objectives in revenue mobilization, the project is composed of a flexible resident advisory team and a £3 million procurement fund to support Mozambique's Revenue Authority and the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
