Kenya Elections Support Programme

To Improve democratic governance and stability, including increasing women’s political representation, which will provide an enabling environment for Kenya’s prosperity, development and poverty reduction. This programme seeks to promote an enabling environment for women political participation through legal, policy and capacity building interventions.
Transparency and Accountability to improve economic development and service delivery(TRACTION)

To improve accountability responsiveness in the delivery of public goods (including business environment) and services at local and national levels. This will be achieved through changes in the way government does business such as improvements in oversight in use of public finances, improvements in how budgets are allocated to reflect needs and more politicians seeking to legitimise themselves based on the delivery of public goods - both at election time and between elections.
Somalia Forward, Stable Settlements & Fair Power

The programme facilitates political dialogue on how power and resource will be shared, using these agreements to progress a constitutional review and more democratic electoral system for Somalia, improving the sustainability, stability, and inclusivity of politics.
African Union Conflict and Governance Support Programme (AUCG)

AUCG will work to strengthen the conflict prevention, conflict management and governance capabilities of the African Union (AU). In doing so, it will help tackle emerging threats to the UK and Africa earlier and before they result in violent conflict. Emphasis will be put on strengthening the AU’s early warning, analysis and early response capacity and capability, including the AU’s ability to effectively mediate in situations before or during conflict. AUCG will also support the AU’s ability to effectively monitor elections across the African continent, helping to promote open societies and create a more democratic world, and will increase women’s meaningful participation in political and peace processes.
Good Governance Fund - Supporting Economic and Governance Reform in Moldova

Through a range of partners including International Financial Institutions, multilateral organisations, private sector and CSOs, the Good Governance Fund supports a series of governance and economic reform initiatives, aimed at building stability, reducing poverty and increasing prosperity in Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armenia and North Macedonia. This programme is comprised of a number of projects operational in Moldova, where support will focus on areas including business environment reform, addressing the skills mismatch, public administration reform and promoting inclusive and participatory governance.
Partnerships for Development

Partnerships for Development (formerly known as GREAT for Partnership) will multiply the UK’s development impact by boosting partnerships between UK’s institutions and their counterparts in the developing world. It will leverage the skills and expertise from a range of UK institutions and supply them initially to DFID partner countries, based on tailored demand. It will initially prioritise the Extractives, Financial Accountability and Anti-Corruption sectors.

Good Governance Fund (Phase 3) Eastern Neighbourhood: Supporting Governance and Economic Reform

The Good Governance Fund seeks to tackle corruption, improve the business environment, make governments more responsive to citizens, enhance media and civil society freedoms, and promote overall reform.
Partnership to Engage, Reform and Learn (PERL)

The programme works with government and civil society at federal and state levels to reduce inefficiency and corruption in the use of Nigerian resources and therefore improve delivery of services, including for women, girls and persons with disability. It does this in partnership with other DFID programmes supporting service delivery by helping Nigerian stakeholders improve accountability for use of resources including improving processes for raising revenue, allocating resources, planning and programme implementation.
The Evidence Fund - 300708

The Evidence Fund procures and manages research and evaluations that primarily benefit ODA eligible countries. Most research and evaluations paid for by the Evidence Fund are country-specific, and all respond to requests for evidence to inform programme or policy decisions. Primarily serving research requests from HMG’s Embassies and High Commissions in ODA eligible countries, and from HMG policy and strategy teams, the Evidence Fund strengthens the evidence behind the UK’s priority international development investments and development diplomacy. The Evidence Fund also invests modest amounts of non-ODA, to strengthen the evidence behind wider UK foreign policy.
Bangladesh-Collaborative, Accountable and Peaceful Politics (B-CAPP) Programme

This programme will protect civic space, foster political collaboration, reduce corruption, and mitigate tensions that lead to violence. Specifically, the programme will: Mobilise civil society and media coalitions to bring local issues to the attention of government and work towards policy solutions. Provide citizen groups with tools to monitor public service delivery. Improve decision-making within political parties and promote women and youth leaders. Strengthen community mediation to prevent political and social tensions becoming violent.
