Active Citizenship Through Inclusive Volunteering & Empowerment (ACTIVE) programme

Scaling Access and Learning in Education (SCALE)

Myanmar Catch-up Learning And Safe Schools (My CLASS)

The Myanmar Catch-up Learning And Safe Schools programme (My CLASS) aims to address the unprecedented education needs in Myanmar after the Covid19 pandemic and the military coup by working with ethnic and complementary education systems. It will support up to 1 million marginalised girls to be safe and continue their learning through a new joint programme to scale up donor support, including. from Education Cannot Wait and the Global Partnership for Education. In the longer term, It will find ways to open space for working with government on UK education priorities. MyCLASS will be coordinated with other British Embassy investments in education and ensure all our education programming is climate smart and builds resilience in the education system.

Accelerating Education Attainment for Resilience in Central Asia (AEAR – CA)

UK - Foreign, Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO)

AEAR-CA supports HMG objectives on Central Asia, and commitment to attainment of education standards to bring SDG 4 back on track, in line with respective government education strategies. The UK is a major contributor to the Global Partnership for Education, already operational in the region. The programme will apply the UK’s comparative advantage of education expertise to: (i) identify catalytic gaps in educational provision and provide targeted support for equitable and quality education, particularly augmenting support to UNICEF as lead on GPE; (ii) provide systemic support to: improve teacher competency; educational quality assurance systems; and English language development across the region with the British Council and Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO); (iii) promote a X-HMG UK education offer built on evidence/learning, with education (including English language skills) being an enabler for economic/social development and a counterbalance to Russian influence in the region.

Educate the Most Disadvantaged Children in Bangladesh

Data and Research in Education (DARE) programme

This programme will address key constraints in Pakistan's education system to enable quality education for all children, particularly for girls and those marginalised by location, ethnicity, religion and disability. On the one hand it will work with the state to the strengthen the education data system. This is crucial for efficient and effective education service delivery by enabling better identification of need, allocation of resources and measurement of progress - particularly for girls. On the other hand, the programme will work with civil society to promote innovative solutions to the challenges identified through better data, and expose these to rigorous research to build evidence on what works.
