SDF II
Project disclaimer
Description
The SDF is a pooled multi donor instrument, which was established in 2012 with funding from DFID, Danida and Norway with the purpose of supporting the delivery of public services by the Somaliland authorities to the people of Somaliland. Donors assume that improved service delivery by the authorities will lead to a strengthened social contract between the population and the authorities, which will in turn lead to increased stability. The Netherlands contributed to SDF phase I with EUR 5 mln and based on satisfactory results during the previous phase and the fact that the SDF is the preferred support mechanism for the Somaliland authorities, now intends to increase the contribution for the coming years.
