Description

Collaborative project between a UK research organisation and SAWS to evaluate the use of convective scale NWP using the Unified Model over southern Africa, improving understanding of how such models represent high impact weather, and the physical processes which lead to high-impact weather events.

Objectives

Programme to help improve modelling capability of high impact weather in the region, enabling mitigation of risk from extreme weather events
