Description
This is an Official Development Assistance (ODA) funded UKaid project from the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC)’s Fleming Fund which helps to fight antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) where the burden of drug-resistant infection is greater. This project is delivered in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and will contribute to identifying and tackling the environmental drivers, sources and challenges of AMR through a One Health* approach at global, regional and country levels. (*One Health is an integrated, unifying approach that aims to sustainably balance and optimise the health of people, animals and ecosystems. It recognises that the health of humans, domestic and wild animals, plants, and the wider environment (including ecosystems) are closely linked and interdependent.)
