Description

Public Financial Management Support Facility of British Embassy Kathmandu is part of a broader, long-running portfolio of Technical Assistance (TA) interventions supporting federalism and Public Financial Management (PFM) reform in Nepal. As British Embassy Kathmandu (BEK) looks to support Nepal to implement the 2015 Constitution, fiscal discipline and co-operation between spheres of government is paramount. The project has two objectives: a) to support fiscal federalism through demand-based technical assistance (TA) to the Government of Nepal; b) to support the management of BEK fiduciary risk by providing analysis, assessments and facilitating learning across BEK’s portfolio to ensure optimal use of financial assistance (FA), including at the subnational levels, so that sector use of FA (health, climate, education, local infrastructure) maximize opportunities for system strengthening.
