Description

In July 2017, DFID approved an investment of up to ?15m over the period 2017-2022 to fund new, operationally-relevant research on how education, health, social protection, nutrition, and water and sanitation services can adapt and expand in response to shocks such as floods, droughts, cyclones and disease outbreaks.

Objectives

MAINTAINS is a cross sectoral research programme, cutting across education, health, social protection, nutrition, and water and sanitation in six countries, including looking at underpinning issues such as contingency planning, disaster response and disaster risk financing.
