Evidence for Gender and Education Resource (EGER): Phase 2
The Population Council, Inc.
The Evidence for Gender and Education Resource (EGER), an interactive online database that practitioners, researchers, donors, and decisionmakers can use to drive better education results for communities around the world. EGER maps ongoing global work in the gender and education field—who is doing what, where, and how. At the same time, EGER juxtaposes these investments with evidence of what works to improve education outcomes based on previous research, as well as results from a new systematic review focused on interventions addressing gender-related barriers to education. By using data visualizations to show the greatest needs for girls and boys, what’s being done to meet those needs on the ground, and where research gaps exist, EGER fosters coordination and evidence-informed decision-making about programming, investments, and research priorities
