Supporting Economic Empowerment and Development in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (SEED OPTs)

UK - Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office

This programme will focus DFID economic development assistance to the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPTs) in the areas of water, electricity, access & movement and trade, and fiscal losses and customs. Programme activities will support institutional capacity building and infrastructure development, working closely with the Palestinian Authority and Government of Israel. The overarching goal is to support economic growth and job creation in the OPTs.

Humanitarian Access in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

UK - Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office

The Humanitarian Access programme in the OPTs will Support humanitarian access and Gaza reconstruction through funding to the United Nations Access Coordination Unit (ACU) and the Gaza Reconstruction Mechanism Project Management Unit (GRM-PMU). This project also includes a Humanitarian contingency to allow for speedy response in case of spikes in humanitarian need. Humanitarian assistance will be provided to respond to Health, Shelter, Food, WASH, cash assistance and protection needs.

Support to the Palestinian Authority to Deliver Basic Services, Build Stability and Promote Reform in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (SSRP)

UK - Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office

To support the Palestinian Authority (PA) to meet the needs of the Palestinian people. Funding will enable around 25,000 young Palestinians with access to an education, provide up to 3,700 immunisations for children, and 185,000 medical consultations each year. This will help to build and strengthen the capacity of PA institutions through public financial management reform, and build stability in the region by preserving the two state solution.
