Kenya Emergency Drought Response
Description
The aim of the project is to provide a “protection ration” for the families of acutely malnourished children under five and pregnant women/nursing mothers selected for treatment of moderate or severe acute malnutrition. This will help: (i) stabilise and improve food and nutrition security of the most vulnerable households; and (ii) reduce sharing within families of expensive specialised nutrition commodities meant only for malnourished members. It is expected that around 60,000 households/360,000 people with malnourished children and/or women will be reached.
