Tawanmandi is a grant funding mechanism that supports civil society to advocate on improving governance in Afghanistan through greater accountability and responsiveness by the state to its citizens. It seeks to build an inclusive civil society able to engage effectively on issues of human rights, access to justice, anti-corruption, peace building, and conflict resolution and through the media. Gender, youth, disability and out-of-Kabul organisations are cross cutting themes.
